First of all, we need to understand what is LED Light therapy. I google the term and this is what I got.
Light emitting diode (LED) light therapy is growing in popularity in both aesthetician offices and at home. Using varying LED wavelengths, this skincare technique purportedly helps:
- treat acne
- reduce inflammation
- promote anti-aging effects
You may be a candidate for LED light therapy if you have these types of skincare concerns and haven’t gotten the results you want from over-the-counter (OTC) skin products. LED therapy is also safe for all skin colors, and it doesn’t cause any burning.
It describe me basically. I had acne problem ever since I was in secondary school. I got bullied in school for being fat, ugly and bigger size than average secondary girls in school. Oh well, that's all in the past. The acne problem follows me all the way until I am like what? 36 years old? lolz. I come from an average family with super average income. So expensive LED light treatment is definitely out for me.
I have a friend who had tried the home LED light therapy and she is happy with how her skin turn out. Hence i decided to give it a try since its a more cheaper alternative than the professional ones. Haha. I did some more research and this is what I have found
In the early 1990s, red light was used by scientists to help grow plants in space. The scientists found that the intense light from red light-emitting diodes (LEDs) helped promote growth and photosynthesis of plant cells.
And red led lights helps to promotes wound healling and tissue repair, improves skin complexion and
And I did some research on blue light too.
Experts believe that blue LED light reduces activity in the sebaceous glands, which are small oil-producing glands in the skin. This reduction in activity causes the glands to produce less oil, possibly improving acne symptoms.
Blue light may also kill a type of bacteria that contributes to acne by causing inflammation.
Animal research indicates that blue light can improve the healing of third degree burns.
So after reading all these, i decide to try the LED therapy at home. I chanced upon the Ultasonic LED light Therapy Hot and Cold Facial Massanger and kept to the following advices while using.
- The ideal frequency to use the LED light therapy is 1 to 3 times a week.
- Use the massager at night
- The home LED therapy is weaker than those professional ones in a skin clinic but cost way lesser than those professional ones.
- Use as per instructed. (any devices that are misused or abused is definitely going to give negative results.
Keeping to above recommendation, I had use the UnltraSonic Facial Massager for at least 3 weeks now. I felt that my skin had become smoother and have lesser blemishes on my skin when I run though my fingers through my face while washing it.
Big ugly pimples without heads become small angry zits with heads and inflammation have reduced greatly. Skin had become more supple and I can put on make up without using too much concealer now.
The Ultrasonic Facial Massager is definitely a keeper. It can be use with any serum but I use the Alcacharm Pore Refining Serum with the Massager.
Now I feel confident, and ready to meet any challenges that comes my way.
